This week at work...

It's finally Friday! *throws confetti* TGIF to everyone reading this right now lol.

had a multi racial week for lunch at work for some reason la.

Monday had lunch at the Indian restaurant at Expo!

$7.90 for this whole plate.

quite reasonable I guess since it comes with a naan, pappadum and basmati rice.

but I didn't really dare to consume the vegetables D:

I should be more adventurous with my food taste la haha!

I also became an aunty to baby Eliza! :D

my cousin had a C-section on Monday and this precious little girl came into the world.

so... Big Lisa, Small Liza? LOL anw, blessed life little one! hope Chloe will be a good companion to you just as how all my cousins are to me! :)

went home and did my nails on Monday while watching WGM lol.

decided to do some green nails because I hardly wear green on my nails and I always buy them yet don't use them.

Polishes I used all from China Glaze! Darker green is Custom Kicks and the lighter teal colour is Aquadelic. Glitter layered on top is Grafitti Glitter from the Glitz collection.

Lunch on Tuesday was Pad Thai at Downtown East lol.

Looks like char kway teow right? hahaha. not too bad, $4.80 only haha.

Then we had Chicken Briyani at East Point on Wednesday. EXOTIC OR NOT? LOL.
1 whole week of non-chinese good. I don't even....

Cost me $7.90 which was ok given that portions were really big!

Then yesterday for lunch we went to Changi Village for nasi lemak! :P

been ages since I last had CV Nasi Lemak, easily 2-3 years alr.

Price increased to $3.50 and... added an otah so it became $4.50 ORZ

Received these on Wednesday cos it was colleague's last day at my company.

kinda surprised to receive it because we weren't that close but thank you nevertheless and all the best at your new job! :)

received really bad news just now at lunch: my tuition got cancelled for the next 2 weeks and cos I'll be away in early feb, another session cancelled. after which, it'll be CNY so.... cancelled 4 tuition lessons straight.

SIGH. my luck this year has been nothing but bad.

pray hope I can find alternative income if not... find a better paying job.

the pay here is really as peanuts as it can be.

I need to go on a diet

Has it been 15 days already since the new year? *stares at calendar*

HOW DID TIME PASS SO FAST?! GASP.

I threw out my diet plans the moment my leg became injured.

and new year resolution to diet is still in limbo because of the injury. le sigh.

Another visit to the sinseh a couple of days after the new year because the ankles were still swollen

so, my cousin Charmaine turned 21 years old the first weekend of 2013.

so it was great seeing the family, especially Aaron because we missed him at Christmas cos he was still in Taiwan.

super tired omg.

and the next day I had to go back to office to take weight for my tablets and I literally KO-ed the moment I went home after that and slept till late afternoon.

my injured leg was killing me by then and thank god we went to catch a movie so I could rest my feet for a good 2 hours before we all went to the food centre opp Chomp Chomp for zi char dinner.

I like these weekends! Altho, not very healthy for my wallet hehe.

sooooo like I said, Sunday I continued eating like mad.

after church went to town with my mother and went to Paris Baguette for brunch cos my mother wasn't that hungry but I was starving!

Ordered these bread for my mum. The right one is actually omelette rolled with bacon strips. DAMN NICE I TELL YOU. TRY THIS! (Y)

seriously, by the time my scrambled eggs came I was darn full but for the sake of $18, I really ate very slowly and finally finished it hahaha.

next time I'll try their pastries! everytime I go there it's always for their brunch and having tried all 3 of them on the menu, I have to say the one with the croissant is my favourite!

had a twitter conversation with my korean friend, Sinhui & Laura about pat bing soo from Paris Baguette cos I tweeted about eating at PB. funny like hell hahahaha!

alrightly, let's hope I can survive the remaining days of the week.

Bangkok trip in 2 weeks! :D can't wait~!

May this new year be a wonderful one for all and myself too.

Recap of my 2012 which started well and ended on a not so well note.

1. Spent New Year in Korea and ushered in the Dragon year at MBC's Gayo Daejun with Sinhui and Jacelyn. Looking forward to this year's trip to Korea again! :D

2. Revamped my room after ages and it now looks pretty decent in my IKEA furniture hahahaha. Still got loads of improvement to be done on my clothes management and what not since all I do is just stuff things into places that I cannot see :X

3. Emceed at SP CLS' Alumni CNY Reunion with Isaac and Linus, my good ol emcee partners.

4. CNY with Gambits as our tradition and at Huey's house for Delta's reunion

5. Visited Indonesia twice - Tanjong Pinang for our BI3 field trip and Bali for my cousin's wedding

 

6. Successful surprise party for the March babies at NSRCC

7. Took up BI3 and made long lasting memories with the Ibus and teman-teman

8. Went to Hong Kong for grad trip and visited Hong Kong Disneyland for the fourth time! Oh, and found my favorite Disney princess (RAPUNZEL I LOVE YOU!!!!)

 

9. Finally left the hellhole called NUS with my degree

16. Got a job as a Research Associate and realised the working world suck balls but thank God for good colleagues.

17. Found new addictions - Laoban Soya Beancurd, Polaroids and.... nail polishes! I don't have a pic of my huge make-up collection but nvm la, I'm not a beauty blogger what -.-"

18. Fell and injured my left leg really badly as the year came to a close.

Looking back, 2012 held alot of firsts and lasts for me.

Last time in school, last time taking exams, last time ponning class and no more school holidays.

But first job, first pay, first real CPF contribution and so forth...

I hope 2013 will be a better year for me, work-wise and health-wise.

Been meaning to really lose weight for good because I don't feel healthy at all.

Plus, spend lesser money on clothes, make-up, nail polishes and other nonsense and be contented with what I have.

Also, I really want my leg to heal. I can only really be more active once my leg heals because I cannot even walk down stairs normally right now.

Le sigh.
