I LOVE T.O.P

Random entry to insert in while my pictures are being uploaded to other entries lol.
I love Tabi so much but even so when I saw his "Doom Dada" teaser pics I was like "Whuuuuuut...?"
LOL but the song is so addictive! I texted the bff "rong time no seaaaaaaa" when it came out hahaha oops.
Anw I moved a few days back to another place because the hotel didn't allow me to extend till Dec before I leave Switzerland.
But... I'm totally happy now that I am far far away from that person having tons of fun with my landlady! :D She's a really sweet lady who takes care of me like how my mum does.
So far so good! :)
Ok, gonna end this randomly because I'm super tired from staying up last night watching "Heirs" yesterday.
Heirs is sooooooooo freaking awesome!
I am on Team Kim Tan and Young Do already HAHAHA!
And I just bought items from Shu Uemera because there was a sale, totally damn random.
And.... I just booked my air ticket to Paris for One Great Step next weekend!
Ok I need to stop rambling and just go brush my teeth now because I am rambling.
So gonna regret this when I wake up and read it again tomorrow.
Good night.

no, I am not drunk blogging -.-" (does this even exist?)

Living in Germany - Leverkusen

Hi everyone, here's the first entry of my 'Living in Germany' series and of course it's featuring... Leverkusen!

Now this is going to be a very picture heavy post but do take time out to read it okay (I painstakingly typed it leh lol give me some face pls haha).
So as mentioned, I am now on a work training programme for my new job and I have to spend a total of 6 months (give and take) overseas at the different plants that belong to my company's group.
First stop for training was Leverkusen.
Before I came here, I've never set foot on German soil before. Actually the last time I came to Europe was when I was 11 years old - 13 years ago! OMG - but we never went to Germany save for a German town near the Swiss border where I got horrified by the pork knuckle because it was the size of my 11 year old entire head and it was for 1 person's portion.
Very apprehensive about Leverkusen because before coming over I checked out for places of interest here.... and there were none.
Most famous landmark in Leverkusen is the Bayer plant as well as the Bay Arena, home ground of Bayer 04 Leverkusen which is owned by Bayer la from the name.
Of course I had heard of Leverkusen before... Bayer Leverkusen lor. No 04 was mentioned or that I recall la.
Imagine my apprehension when I heard the plant was in Leverkusen and I had to stay here for 2 months because the list of places to visit on Tripadvisor was so dismal.
And as you can see, Bayer's history in Leverkusen goes a long way back from what I hear and the Bayer cross can be seen on most buildings in Leverkusen (see pic below).

  • Westminister Abbey
  • Brunch at Covent Garden
  • Regent Street
  • Oxford Circus
Itinerary for Day 4

If you haven't read about Day 1 and 2 of my trip to London, click here :D
Soooooo continuing on to Day 3!
Sloth and I despite sleeping uberly late once again (remember, very deprived of friends the both of us lol so we spent alot of time catching up), we woke up very early to catch the 8am Holy Communion service at Westminister Abbey.
You can check the daily schedule here for all services.

Walking along Westminister Bridge to Westminister Abbey

Everytime I see the London Eye, I want to laugh because it reminds me of a stupid thing my bf said before lol.

We were quite cheapo so we wanted to save $$ and not pay to enter the abbey so we decided to go for a service.
That being said, Westminister Abbey is a Catholic church so for me it was no issue.

Europe Travelogue - Amsterdam

Made use of the public holiday on 3 Oct to make a trip up to Amsterdam.
Originally, the plan was to drive up to Paris but it was too far by car for a day trip so we decided to head to Amsterdam.
Left Leverkusen at 6.30am and the drive took us approximately 2.5 hours before we crossed the Dutch border and saw...

....Cows and more cows! LOL

Thought of how this would make my bf's day... He'd totally stick his head out of the car and 'MOOOOOOO' at those cows hahahahah xD
Got lost all the way to Amsterdam Centraal Station but we managed to find a carpark in front of the main train station.

My first impression of Amsterdam was... so vibrant and colourful and so many bicycles! HAHAHAHAHA.
And then there was the 'seedy' part of the Dutch capital... how liberal they are about their sexuality LOL.
Coming from an Asian country where such talk is frowned upon, having the words 'sex', 'condom' and 'porn' headlining several stores was really an eye-opener.
But the Dutch don't care. Really.
So we were really famished by then, despite having stuffed ourselves with chocolates (my stash from my fridge lol) along the 4.5 hour drive up to Amsterdam and we went searching for food.

Europe Travelogue - London Day 1 and 2

Itinerary for Day 1
  • Köln/Bonn to London-Stansted Airport
  • Waterloo Station
Itinerary for Day 2
  • Changing of Guards/Buckingham Palace/Victoria Monument
  • Trafalgar Square
  • Covent Garden
  • Tottenham Court Road
  • Leicester Square (Chinatown)
Hello everyone *twirls around*
I made my foray out of Germany after being there for 4 weeks because I was getting bored lol.
No la, I'm just kidding to be honest. But I was super super excited I kept telling everyone at work I was going to London lol.
They kinda got sick of me repeating it heh xD
I made plans to head up to London to visit dear Sloth who is there and stay at her apt there wahahaha (I brought 'payment' ok... Hanuta chocolates, Haribo Smurf gummis and Milka chocolates!) when I arrived in Germany. It was a very impromptu trip, very YOLO. I like.
So I left on a Thursday evening and took Friday off from work because I wanted to maximise my time in London.
Being there on an evening didn't bother me because accommodation was... free :P
Took the train to Köln/Bonn Airport from Leverkusen after work (I even brought my luggage to work leh, excited much despite being mindfked by one of the directors at work lol.)

This airport is not an international airport as you can see, mainly they serve domestic and budget airlines so the place was pretty small BUT free wifi and that, deserves thumbs up from me :D
Airline of the evening: Germanwings
I had originally wanted to take Ryanair because it was tons cheaper but after reading so many horrifying reviews online and the fact that the airport terminal was damn far for me (Düsseldorf Weeze is about 30 mins away from Düsseldorf Flughafen) I decided to just pay more for Germanwings (departing from Köln/Bonn) and easyjet (My returning flight, arriving at Düsseldorf Flughafen) just to have a peace of mind.
You'd be surprised by the reviews I've read about Ryanair and I asked my colleagues who told me not to take it as well lol. Trust the Germans on this I say.

Germany to Switzerland

HELLO EVERYBARDI :D /waves/
I hope people are still reading this blog lol.
I've been stuck in the office on my computer for ages and I thought it'd be good to just pop by for a little update.
Cannot believe that I'm leaving Germany so soon. 2 months really flew by and now I'm soon moving on to the next country I have to train in.
Haven't been the sanest this month, October has been quite horrible to me.
I moved from working in the lab to the office - sales - and now am stuck on my computer because... the staff are too busy to come and train us.
Don't like how this feels, makes me feel very unwanted haha (I am that insecure to be honest).
My SG colleague came for a week and we had fun together (she was staying at my place) then luckily after she left my dad came a few days later hahah.
He came a week ago to Germany for a trade fair and we spent time together so it was good.
Had to stop myself from bawling my eyes out at the train station last night when I went to send him off.
And then when he landed in Singapore, he went home and threw a fit because the house was in a mess due to all the packing my mum, bro and bf have been doing.
SIGH, headache really. Nevertheless, I still am looking forward to going back home to Singapore despite not having a house to go back to.
Alrighty, I have been making use of my free time to write up some entries on my travels in Europe so stay tuned!
:D

Hiatus till I can get unlimited wifi...

Hi all from Leverkusen, Germany!
As mentioned in my previous post, I am currently staying in Germany till end of Oct before moving over to Switzerland in Nov.
I have very limited access to the internet because the apartment that I am staying in only provided me with a usb stick with 1GB of data to use per month and I only have access to wifi in office but because I am not sitting in the office (I work in the lab), I only have access to the office's wifi when I am within the office block which basically means... after I end work.
So please pardon the lacks of posts (if you are my personal friend on my FaceBook you'll be very updated with how I am surviving here in Deutschland) here simply because I have very limited internet access (I do not even check my Instagram and Twitter 24/7 anymore - super sociable now but no friends in Germany FML!).
I have received a few emails and comments left on my entries regarding my Korea Travelogue - I will try my best to reply them as and when I can so please bear with me if you do not hear from me immediately (also because I am 6 hours behind SG time so if you email/comment from SG, remember I am 6 hours behind and probably still fast asleep so please do not expect an immediate reply).
Ok that's all I have to say hahaha! Hopefully when I move to Switzerland and live in my colleague's place, she has unlimited wifi else I am going to jump into the Rhine River (no more Hangang because I am in the Rhine area).
Bye and I'll try and update as and when.

Catching up with friends...

Hi all, sorry for the lack of updates! Don't stone me please.
I am really swamped with preparation of my trip to Germany (flying off this Sat!) and busy doing things to ensure that I will not get lost there (the usual research before going overseas) and... catching up with my friends (with the excuse of eating whatever Asian food I could stuff myself with before going to Europe)!
So basically whatever you'll see below is all food hahaha! Oops :P
Do not read further when in extreme hunger hahaha!
Met Juyin, Hidaya and Kai Qi for Itacho Sushi last week.
Lirong and Qiu Lin were supposed to join us but couldn't last minute.
Itacho is sooooo nice... and expensive too :(

Pics of whatever we ate

Special mention to Hidaya's uber long unagi lol

Sephora Haul!

I've been a really happy girl last week because I bought stuff from Sephora!
HEHEHE.
Now I want to say that I don't shop at Singapore's Sephora that much because it's way too expensive in my opinion.
Unless I know for sure that I cannot get the stuff online (cos the website accepts only US credit cards or it is OOS etc blah blah) only then will I buy it locally.
The rest of my makeup comes from overseas!
Sum-pah! LOL.
So last month was my birthday month and Sephora gives a free palette and a one-time purchase to get double points on your membership card.
Now I really wanted the free gift but not so much the points because I hardly shop at Sephora Singapore.
AND THEN I SAW THE WORDS 'SEPHORA EXCLUSIVE' & 'LIMITED EDITION'.
FML.
My wallet officially hates you Too Faced, yes you.

2 purchases in a span of 5 days!

So here's all the things from my tiny haul from Sephora

Gardens By The Bay

Hello all!
Sorry for the lack of updates... I've started a new job!
And I will be uprooting from Singapore to Germany & Switzerland at the end of the month till before Christmas.
It's really exciting yet scary for me - it's the first time I'll be away for so long from my family.
At times I'm amazed at how I said yes so easily >_< but nevertheless please pray for me while I'm there!
I'll be there for work training and hopefully I can do some travelling around the 2 countries I'll be in on my off days so do expect tons of travel pictures soon! :D
Come back ok, please don't abandon me hahaha!
I promise to be more hardworking in my updates :P
So getting back on track on my week long break from work, the bf and I visited Gardens By The Bay because we had the car!
My first time there so quite excited even though plants do not interest me.
But since I had the time why not right?

Face of the day! Unemployment i.e. no stress and more sleep is good for my complexion!

Taiwan: Weekend getaway!

The week after I turned 24... I decided it was time to have a 'YOLO' moment.
No la, bluff one hahaha!
The bf had to go back and change his passport in Taiwan due to visa issues so we booked a one way flight on Scoot 2 days before we departed.
Yup, it was that YOLO that everyone was asking me why I ninja-ed to Taipei without them knowing, even better still, asking why I hadn't bought a return air ticket.
But it was fun I guess to be spontaneous :)
This is not gonna morph into one of my travelogue entries because nothing I did was even damn near touristy (we spent the entire time spending time with his family).
I have been to Taipei so many times I have lost count of the places I've visited and the amount of people asking me for advice on what to do in Taipei.
Perhaps the next time I do visit Taiwan again for leisure, a real vacation, I'll do a travelogue series.
But till then.... just make do with this heh xD
Took the midnight flight from Singapore to Taipei on Scoot.
First time aboard Scoot and it's really nice!
Ok, maybe it wasn't that fair to say the seats are spacious because the bf paid extra for their 'S-t-r-e-tc-h' option.
But at the front of the aircraft, the entire area was barely occupied and we kinda had the entire area all to ourselves.
Nice :D

Yellow Scoot seats! Comfy.

Rise and shine when we landed in Taipei at 5.30am

Sleepyhead (and I) were mad exhausted T.T

Dior Summer Mix 2013 Dior Vernis #658 Capeline & YSL Spring 2013 La Lacque Couture Tie & Dye Pop Coat #2

When I popped by the Dior counter on my birthday at Takashimaya, I fell in love with the new Dior Summer Mix 2013 nail polishes! /inserts emoticon of face with hearts as eyes/
As I progress on with my addiction to all beauty related things, I've found myself gearing toward the higher ended brands such as Chanel and Dior etc in terms of makeup items and nail lacquers.
You have no idea how happy I was to find them at DFS when I left for Taiwan!
The bf had to literally drag me out of DFS to catch our plane else I'd probably buy up the entire store lol.
So I did purchase 2 nail polishes from the Dior Summer 2013 collection and here's one of them.

Dior Vernis #658 Capeline is a really summery colour - pink & coral all mixed together!
It reminds me of watermelon actually which every review I've read said it as well lol.
See, very summery ain't it? I mean what's summer without watermelon?!

2 coats of Capeline and no top coat

A year older, a year wiser as well

Hi, I hope everyone is still here /cue cricket noises/
I've been swamped daily with... I dunno what.
Don't really have much to do at work because I did something drastic a couple of weeks back by tendering my resignation, which will come in another entry if I'm really bored shitless at work HAHA!
So... I finally turned 24 years old 2 weeks back. I FEEL OLD.
This is just a collective entry on what my friends and family did to celebrate my special day.
First up, stupid email from work.
I have a love-hate relationship with my job and the people here.
Used to mock these emails because they are quite useless (not like they're giving me a voucher to spend or something) but yeah... here's mine.
Came on the Friday before my actual birthday.

Met up with Yvonne for dinner that night to celebrate my birthday and my resignation (YES,FINALLY LEAVING WOHOOO!!!) at Superstar K BBQ Restaurant along Tanjong Pagar Rd.

Ambush with the girls :)

Hello! I'm back with a food review and it's Ambush at Junction 8!
Super random meet-ups with the girls this week first though.
Met Hidaya and Juyin at Northpoint for sushi after work...
Then somehow we planned to meet up (all 4 of us incl Lirong) on Thursday.
Wah rao my wallet dun like pls hahaha!
But it's okay, I can do it >_<

Chillax at Starbucks - 3 people sharing 1 venti sized drink cos we were too full from sushi!

With Kwangsoo Hidaya hehehehe xD

Decided to have dinner at Junction 8 because Hidaya ends work really late and it's very difficult for her to get to town areas asap (and we are quite hungry people) so decided to meet along the North-South line for her to reach earlier!

FOTD and the scene at Serangoon MRT gosh the amount of people D:

Lirong picked the place and made a reservation!
Thank goodness she did. The queue outside was zzzzZzzzz

Food blogger at work

I like meet-ups like these girls! :D

While waiting for the food Hidaya gave us presents (she unfriended me wtf haha!) that she bought for us in HK while we gave her what we bought for her in Korea (Running Man tumbler!)

When the food arrives, we all have to wait for Lirong to take finish pictures lol

I find it hilarious to take her behind the scenes lol!

Appetizers to share! Sausages and homg the dips were awesome!

Escargots but without the shell. Why ah? But I like! I ate like... 3 of them oops :X

My Vongole which sucked and Lirong's salmon pasta

Juyin's paella which was nice!

Hidaya's marinara which is like Juyin's paella but with pasta instead lol

Didn't have a very satisfying dinner because my vongole was shit.
The base wasn't flavourful (I like Pastamania's version better!) and totally bland yucks.
But the rest liked their food so I probably won't be going back anytime soon lol.
Headed for ice cream at Haagen Dazs and went home. Mad exhausted!

Anyway we didn't take polaroids!! Gosh I think I was really so exhausted I couldn't remember to do shit.
All I wanted to do was go home and crawl under my blanket.
My weekends are bloody hectic too (Super Show 5 hello!) so I'm hoping to get a good rest.
Have a great weekend everyone! :D
