Selfridges Haul Part 2: Charlotte Tilbury

Here's the second part of my Selfridges haul. The first part can be found here.
In this installment, I'll be showing you these wonderful beauties from the Charlotte Tilbury makeup line.
I picked up 2 of the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipsticks - Bitch Perfect and Coachella Coral - and 1 eyeshadow palette in The Vintage Vamp.
Before I go on to rave about how pretty and awesome these items are, can I just say how much I love loVE LOVE the way she named all the items in her makeup collection? LOL!
I mean imagine someone asking you,

Friend: Eh, what lipstick are you wearing ah? Damn chio pls!

Me: Bitch Perfect /smiles/

Friend: /insert WTF look/

Ok, sorry. Sometimes I think too much HAHAHA.

So since we are on the topic of the lipsticks, let's start with them shall we?

The K.I.S.S.I.N.G line of lipsticks are said to be infused with a secret ingredient - an anti-oxidant from the Lipstick Tree that naturally protects lips from UV damage and external pollution.
Each lipstick weighs 3.5g and costs £23.
The packaging is a sleek rose gold tube with 'Charlotte Tilbury' printed across the inner tubing. The cover is embossed with the Charlotte Tilbury emblem.

Bitch Perfect is a perfect nude for everyday use. My arm swatch comes off as slightly veering towards the orange side but on the lips it looks like a true nude colour. If you are one who dislike wearing lip colours that scream 'look at me!', this would be the perfect one from her line of lipsticks to try first before you decide to buy the rest of the collection which I want to.

Coachella Coral is a satiny coral colour, as the name suggests obviously. This leans more towards the pinkier, mauve-y kind of coral shade but it looks so amazing on my lips.

Both lip colours have some micro glitter infused in them and are paraben free. They also have a vanilla type of scent but it isn't very overpowering so not to worry if you hate smells from cosmetics.

Now, I really like the pigmentation of these lipsticks when I swatched them on my arm.
I do have to say that I absolutely love how well they glide on my lips. They were both moisturized enough for me to last 4 hours before my lips starting drying out and flaking slightly (Lipsticks with glitter always does that to my lips), not full out flaking like crazy kind of lips so I would think on those with no inherent drying lips like mine would enjoy the moisture from the line.
My final thoughts on these lipsticks? BUY. BUY ALL YOU CAN BECAUSE I SURE AM GOING TO DO SO! :D

Next up is a eyeshadow quad from Charlotte Tilbury's Luxury Palette Colour-coded Eye Shadows line.
I chose The Vintage Vamp over the popular Dolce Vita palette because I thought this was different from the usual neutral eyeshadow quad because of the reddish hue of No. 2 Enhance.

Each palette weighs 5.2g and priced at £38, with no applicators inside.
She named the colours according to these numbers below:
1 - Prime - shimmery highlight
2 - Enhance - reddish brown colour
3 - Smoke - dark burgundy colour
4 - Pop - gold glitter flecks infused colour
I like how it's named because it helps those who do no have much experience with eyeshadows (like me) to know where to place the colours.

Here are the arm swatches of the palette without any primer:

I would say the colour pay-off for most colours were very good and intense, with the exception of No. 4 Pop which was a little too dry. I had to really dig my finger through it before it actually even appeared on my arm.
I really like how different the colours in this palette look from the usual neutral palettes available on the market and really can't wait to add more of the palettes from Charlotte's line to my collection HAHAHA!
It was so hard for me to control which ones I really wanted but now that I've tried them, I really want more of the lipsticks and eyeshadow palettes.
Oh and the Filmstar Bronze & Glow D: D: D:
My wallet is really crying T.T
Alrighty, hope you enjoyed this entry. BYE! :D

Selfridges Haul Part 1: Tom Ford Lip Color Sheer

Several weeks ago I blogged that I had purchased some items from Selfridges.
I am pleased to say that my order was successful and the package arrived at my doorstep intact with the correct items.

Here's the first part of my Selfridges haul. (Edit: Here is Part 2 of the haul.)
I picked up 2 of the Tom Ford Lip Color Sheer in Paradiso 07 and Summer Fling 04.
These are part of the Spring 2014 collection from Tom Ford and my first ever Tom Ford purchase!

I am not gonna lie, when I read this post from Rae of The RAEviewer, I knew I had to have at least one of them. And these lippies were popping up all over my IG feed.
My bff always says I cannot tahan when it comes to 2 words: Limited and Edition. It's like these words always trying to test my self-control and see if I can score such items to add to my collection. Hence I was on a mission to get hold of them. Plus at that point in time the Tom Ford Beauty counter in Singapore had not brought them in yet.
Super difficult for me to hold off the resistance and I finally decided, no Paula you cannot have all 8 of them because they are bloody expensive and you are in perpetual debt. Choose 2 and put the rest at the back of your mind lol. I originally wanted to get a third colour - Incorrigible which is a gorgeous fuchsia - but I held back because I think I have a dupe somewhere in my makeup drawer. So I ended up putting only 2 colours in the cart - Paradiso and Summer Fling. Yay me for my self-control! /pats self on back/
Okay, I digress. Chose to buy them from Selfridges even though they were more expensive (US is selling them for USD$49 versus £36 from Selfridges) because they were mostly sold out on all the US sites.
Then I added on some stuff from Charlotte Tilbury which I will show in another entry.
So here are the gorgeous Tom Ford Lip Color Sheers in Paradiso and Summer Fling.

Paradiso 07 is a gorgeous corally, warm toned pink. Perfect summer lip colour to be honest. Fairly opaque too, you'll have to build up the colour on the lips. It comes with a glossy sheen and glided on oh so smoothly on my arm as I swatched it.

Summer Fling 04 is a nudish, pinkish colour that is fairly light. I like it for a casual day out or when I put on some lip colour for work. It also has a glossy sheen and glided on very smoothly when I did the arm swatch.

Now you will definitely be able to find plenty of lip swatches online because of the huge furor caused when these lippies were released so I won't be showing any lip swatches.
My verdict? Overhyped.
When I wore Paradiso out 2 days ago, it dried my lips out so badly I was practically flaking away at the end of the day. It emphasized all the lines on my lips that when I decided to give it a second chance the next day, I topped it up with a gloss to hide all the lip flaws....
...which defeats the purpose right?
Please don't get me wrong, I loved the colours I picked out, texture was emollient when I swatched it but how come when I put it on my lips it became so drying?! /stabs self/
UGH! I was pre-warned because I had read some reviews online stating so but I refused to believe it because so many people were raving about it? Got so suay anot get a lousy one or one that doesn't work for me? :(
(Edit: Summer Fling worked better on me than Paradiso! Now it's become one of my most reached lip colours to pair with my Dior lipgloss.)
Anyway, I'm still glad I picked them up for my makeup collection because what worth is it if you don't collect limited edition stuff right lol (excuses).
These Tom Ford beauties (yup, still beauties because the packaging is so prett-ay!) should be available at the Tangs counter and I did see some still available online at Selfridges' website.
Go check them out if you're keen!
Alrights, end of my review. Will be back soon with more makeup goodies! :D
Enjoy your weekend everybody.

My Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Collection and Swatches Part 1

Hello! I'm here to talk about some make-up simply because I've been trying to document my ever expanding make-up collection before I 'destroy' it by using it.
And ever so often all the make-up companies come up with really pretty and intricate patterns on their products to entice customers.
I just get sucked in all.the.time.
I'm a closet make-up addict I admit /sigh/ I'm also addicted to buying pretty nail polishes and recently my tastes have taken a turn for higher end brands FML and my wallet's life.
I like seeing really pretty make-up products that have whatever girly patterns or details to just make suckers like me fall for it and purchase it.
Look at my Instagram (@paulalogy) and you'll see everyone always asking me how many faces I have i.e. why do I need so much make-up whenever I post all  my hauls.
Someone "fainted" literally when they saw my nail polish collection >.<
My answer is pretty simple: I have 1 face but if all the pretty make-up make me happy, makes me feel good about myself, why not?
If pretty make-up makes your heart flutter like mine, you'll know what I mean :P
Ok so enough chit-chat, I was at the Watsons members sale just last week and I saw the 4 newly released Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters on sale and I was like... YESSSSS MUST BUY!!!!
If you have no yet heard about how awesome they are, go knock yourself in the head now.
They are that good tbh!
Now these lip butters have been on the market for a couple of years already, easily close to 2 years or more but they hit Singapore fairly late compared to the States.
I remembering watching all my favorite Youtube makeup gurus raving about these lip butters and I was itching to get my hands on them!
I did cave in and buy a few of them locally because when I wanted to order them from the drugstore website some colours were out of stock.
But most of them, I got them from drugstore.com.
So yah, back to the Watsons sale. I saw the 4 new ones, bought them and decided I should just do up posts on all my lip butters since I have so many of them (9 from my original stash + 4 new ones = 13 altogether WTF)
But I will split them up because the 9 that I'm featuring here have all been out for awhile.
From 2012 at least haha! Will feature the new ones in a separate post once I've used them to see if I like them as much as I do for the 9 I have here.
I do have to say, because I have used them before, they may look abit gunky and for some other reasons as well that I will mention below.
And I do think by looking at the pictures you'd know which are the ones I've worn more often heh xD
So here goes!

Here are the 9 Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters I will be talking about in this post
